About the magazine
An independent journal for literature and the craft of books
Les Coulisses du Livre is an independent French-language literary magazine covering contemporary literature, world writing, translated books, and the work of editing, bookmaking, and publication. It is designed to load quickly and read calmly on any device, so the reporting stays at the center.

Our independence
Les Coulisses du Livre is an independent magazine. It has no affiliation with any existing publishing house, and it does not reproduce any publisher’s logo, visual identity, or texts.
Editorial decisions are made by the magazine alone. Commercial sponsors and publishing houses have no role in choosing subjects, commissioning articles, or shaping the reporting.

How we verify and publish
Every article is checked against verifiable sources before publication. We do not invent quotations, interviews, author biographies, or bibliographic facts. Where information cannot be confirmed, we say so plainly rather than filling the gap.
Only authorized images are used, and each image is credited according to its license. Our legal pages set out the publisher’s details, terms of use, privacy practices, and the procedure for requesting a correction. Readers who spot an error are invited to write to the editorial desk.
